Gino's was an Italian restaurant located in the city of Chicago. In the early 1920's, Indiana Jones and his classmate from the university, Harold Oxley, used to stop by at the restaurant for a pizza every Tuesday.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
It was likely that the mention of Gino's and their pizza in the novelization of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a reference to the real world Chicago restaurants, Original Gino's and Gino's East, known for their deep dish pizza. However, these restaurants did not open until 1954 and 1966, respectively.
