The Golden Xiphos was a 5th century BC Spartan shortsword from Ancient Greece.

American archaeologist Indiana Jones found the blade while journeying through the Vatican in 1937 as he investigated the grander mystery of the Great Circle. He realized it was a lost artifact and resolved to see it returned to its "rightful home".
