Disguised as American serviceman "Grant", a Russian soldier accompanied his superiors, Colonel Dovchenko and Irina Spalko, to infiltrate Hangar 51 in Nevada. During Indiana Jones's escape from custody, Jones unintentionally swung back to the windshield of the truck carrying Jefferson and Grant. Jones then threw Jefferson out first, then Grant.

Grant was later present amongst Spalko and Dovchenko's men in Brazil. Following the jungle chase, he and several other soldiers in a truck, trying to escape from siafu, rappelled down a cliff face with Spalko. When Marion Ravenwood drove her duck off the cliff above them and landed on a tree branch, the branch snapped back up and hit the cliff, knocking Grant and two others into the river.

Behind the scenes

Credited as one of four Russian Soldiers, Grant was played by Andrew Divoff in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

According to the insignia on his shirt, he was pretending to be a sergeant in the US Army.
