Mr. Havelock was the Scout Master of the Boy Scout troop in which Indiana Jones and Herman Mueller were members. He led the troop on an equestrian camping trip through Utah's canyons. After the boys dismounted, he reminded the scouts to not get lost in the side canyons. When Indy and Herman came across looters, Herman was sent to find Mr. Havelock and alert the Sheriff.
