The Head of Peloptichonku was an artifact sought out by American archaeologist Indiana Jones around 1936.

History[]

Around the year 1936, American archaeologist Indiana Jones went looking for the legendary Head of Peloptichonku in a tomb protected by a two-thousand year old clockwork man.[1]

The Head of Peloptichonku was intended to be featured in "The Sentinel", the proposed title for an issue of Marvel's The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones comic book series but the story went unpublished.[1] Pin-up art depicting Indiana Jones being attacked by the clockwork man was drawn by artist John Byrne was featured Marvel Movie Spotlight Featuring Raiders of the Lost Ark 1,[2] while the original pencil work was later included in The Complete Making of Indiana Jones.[1]
