Honolulu is the capital and largest city of Hawaii. Located on the island of Oahu, it serves as a major transportation hub and commercial center for the islands, and is defended by the nearby naval station of Pearl Harbor.

In the fall of 1914, Indiana Jones and Elizabeth Ravenall met up again in Honolulu, where they discovered and thwarted a German plot to disrupt British shipping in the Pacific.[1]
In 1936, Indiana Jones was on a flight aboard the Pan Am Clipper from San Francisco to Manila, as part of his journey to Kathmandu[2] and it stopped for refueling in Honolulu.[3] Jones retained his Pan American Airways ticket which listed Honolulu as a stopover point by its airport code HNL.[4]

Most other sources list the refueling stop during Raiders of the Lost Ark simply as Hawaii,[2] but The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones depicts his ticket with the airport code HNL, indicating Honolulu.[4]
