An Ice Age is a period of time when reduction in the temperature of Earth's surface and atmosphere results in the presence or expansion of continental and polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers.
Around 1200, a Viking knarr carried two sailors who froze to death, with the likely cause attributed to a winter squall during that year's "Little Ice Age".[1]
In 1924, while exploring some caves, Indiana Jones believed one cave he was in potentially held have further chambers with wall paintings from the Ice Age.[2]
