A set of Incan ceremonial masks were displayed in the National Museum branch at Marshall College in Connecticut in 1937. From the Inca culture, they had been discovered in Peru by Indiana Jones.

One day in 1937, Jones was asked to escort Victoria Keith around the museum. After showing her the Cretan urn, he pointed out the four ceremonial masks on the wall before guiding her to the Sumerian exhibit, where she was interested in a curious amulet.
