Tolstoy Indy Baseball Card Colletion

Leo Tolstoy examines the baseball cards.

In 1910, on a visit to Russia, Indiana Jones traded most of his baseball card collection to famed author Leo Tolstoy in return for his family bible despite the protests of Henry Jones, Sr. who felt it was too precious an acquisition.[1]

That same year, in Benares, the younger Jones gave Jiddu Krishnamurti a baseball card of player Ty Cobb as a token of their friendship. In turn, Krishnamurti gave his friend a vial of water from the Ganges River, collected when pair toured the city.[2]
