Indiana Jones – The Adventure Collection

Originally reported by some sites to be released on May 13, Paramount will release "Special Editions" of the first three films on May 12, 2008, as a tie-in to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The flyers in the Stardust DVDs advertise the original films as being released individually as Special Editions on DVD on May 12.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

The film will be released on home vdeo on October 14, 2008. It will be offered in three formats: a one-disc edition DVD, a two-disc Special Edition DVD set, and as a two-disc edition Blu-ray set.

Disc 1 includes:

• Indiana Jones Timelines - Explore the movie through interactive timelines that include video featurettes, in-depth information and unique imagery. Your adventure begins with one of these three timelines:
  • Story Timeline: Showcases the key events of the "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" storyline.
  • Production Timeline: A Making-of chronology for "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull".
  • Historical Timeline: Dives into the real-world historical influences that are referenced in the film.
• The Return of a Legend - The evolution of the new film and a tribute to the legendary hero and his creators.

The one-disc edition DVD includes only the film, while the two-disc Special Edition DVD set includes all f the features of the Blu-ray set. The timelines are exclusive to the Blu-ray set, which will also include many of the featurettes in HD. Best Buy will offer a collector's set of the film. It will include the two-disc Special Edition DVD, along with a replica of the crystal skull, and a gift card for Sideshow Collectables.

The Complete Adventure Collection

Also on October 14, Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventure Collection will be released, and will include all four films. The previous Adventure Collection editions of the first three films will be packaged with the two-disc Special Edition of the fourth film.
