Indiana Jones 5 is the colloquial title of an upcoming fifth theatrical installment in the Indiana Jones franchise starring Harrison Ford, due for release on July 29, 2022.
The film was officially announced in 2016 after years of rumors and speculation with a release date of July 19, 2019, but the date was pushed back threefold following delays surrounding the script and story and later due to the impact on the film industry by the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic.
Ford reprising his role as Indiana Jones will see the actor having played the archaeologist at least once in every decade – with the exception of the 2010s – since the franchise's debut in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Indiana Jones will return to the big screen on July 19, 2019, for a fifth epic adventure in the blockbuster series. Steven Spielberg, who directed all four previous films, will helm the as-yet-untitled project with star Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. Franchise veterans Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce.
"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. "It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven."
Famed archaeologist and explorer Indiana Jones was introduced in 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark – one of AFI's 100 Greatest American Films of All Time – and later thrilled audiences in 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The four films have brought in nearly $2 billion at the global box office.[9]

Plot
Indiana Jones who is Of course respectfully retired, is sat at home with marion. They get a call from their son (Mutt) saying that a new threat has formed in Russia. Indy at first says hes laying low and asks Mutt to mail it to the Army. But when Mutt tells him his long time friend Sallah was in russia and he was among the other 27 hostages to be held captive he was prepared to risk anything to free him along with the others. Indy who is packing gets his guns ( a 45 caliber revolver and a 69 Combat magnum) and his whip. He finds a shelf with pictures of Marcus brody and his dad who wouldve wanted him to save sallah. Indy mutt and Marion prepare the travel to the Philippines where Charles Jones jr (Indy's son) and Mary Jones (Charles Jones' wife) are living. Mutt Explains the situation. Sallah was in russia with his brother-in-law when his B.I.L went missing he got a call saying he was captured by a group of russian army men and was taken to the russian cathedral of armed russian forces. Sallah was foolish enough to step fooot into the perimeter and he was knocked out cold by a russian guard. Sallah who was in a cell managed to call indy's home to which mut picked up. Sallah stated he needed help and was hostage.When at the camp mutt (to indy's surpise) had his own set of weapons) an Ak-47 and an Akm along with a Serpent blade. Charles Jones had a Tommy gun and a sword which indy gave to him (from the temple of doom) Both Marion and Mary also had a magnum each. When planning the attack Mutt told the crew he had a plan to go in from the rooftops silently, kill anyone in their way get the hostages and escape. Indy told him he was braindead as they would be guards at every corner. Indy suggested they break in from the sides and smoke the place up, mutt throws m26 grenades on the brick doors frees sallah and the hostages and break out unseen. Then he insisted he brings an bazooka they break the cathedral down. and get out of the country. The details of the mission were not given this is the only transcript we have. the audience will have to tune in and watch to find out if they succeed. And.. whether indy dies.
