The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is a theme park attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida based on the Indiana Jones franchise. It is a stunt show performed in front of a large audience recreating many of the popular stunt scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark. The show opened on August 25, 1989. Next to the forum is a shop that sells Indiana Jones merchandise.
The show was featured in the 1990 TV special The Muppets at Walt Disney World, in which Kermit and Miss Piggy take part in the stunts. The show featured prominently the following year in another special, New Kids on the Block at Disney-MGM Studios: Wildest Dreams; Donnie Wahlberg played the part of Indiana Jones.
Walt Disney World was temporarily closed between March and July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! has remained closed along with other stage shows such as Finding Nemo – The Musical, Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage and the Festival of the Lion King due to a dispute between the Actors' Equity Association and Walt Disney World.
Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom
As part of the theme park's Last Tour to Endor party on August 14, 2010, commemorating the closing of the Star Tours attraction in conjunction with Star Wars Celebration V being held in Orlando that weekend, the regular stunt show was changed to Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom, and presented as the work of two fan film makers combining their love of both Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Each of that evening's three shows included special cameo appearances by Star Wars celebrities.
