Indiana Jones Wiki

Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Stone Tiger was a child-participation theme park attraction that made up part of Disneyland's Indiana Jones Summer of Hidden Mysteries promotion for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008.

It reused the former Aladdin's Oasis space, with the Cave of Wonders Tiger Head taking on the role of the Stone Tiger.

Publisher's summary[]

In this intimate storytelling adventure presented multiple times each day at The Oasis, young Disneyland Park guests will uncover clues, decipher codes and embark on an archeological journey that culminates in an appearance by Indy himself!

Plot summary[]

at the mouth of the tiger god's temple.

The story concerns a "Secrets of the Stone Tiger Revealed!" lecture tour at the temple of a tiger god where Indiana Jones was scheduled to speak. However, the archaeologist has gone missing, and so it falls to Doctor Rachel Flannery overseeing work at the site to head the presentation and, with Jones' journal in hand, seeks to unlock the mystery of the golden tiger said to be buried within the temple.

Behind the scenes[]

A version of Indiana Jones' journal was fabricated for the show as part of the 2008 Disneyland event, The Summer of Hidden Mysteries with illustrations drawn by artist Dan Almanzar.[source?]

The prop was repurposed years later as part of the promotion for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny with Indiana Jones Meet and Greets seeing the archaeologist wandering Adventureland for interactions with guests.[1]

Continuity[]

While the show doesn't specify when the action takes place, a prop crate does note that it's to be sent back to Indiana Jones at Marshall College.

As the archaeologist's journal places Jones's Kartikeya research in 1933 and the show closes with his heading off in search of a map to the temple of Mara, this would suggest that the story predates Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye and is set during the early half of the 1930s.
