Indiana Jones und das Geheimnis der Osterinseln (English: Indiana Jones and the Secret of Easter Island) is a German novel written by Wolfgang Hohlbein, his sixth in the series of original Indiana Jones novels published by Goldmann Verlag.

Publisher's summary[]

English translation[]

Washington is a peaceful place. But that peace vanishes for good when Indiana Jones is approached by a certain Mr. Franklin and a certain Mr. Delano, who have a small favor to ask. It concerns an expedition to Easter Island, but Indy suspects from the outset that it will not be a simple research trip. Franklin and Delano are sly old dogs, and they smile too much. An American agent, on the tail of a German conspiracy in the South Pacific, has disappeared, and Indiana must find him. A true patriot, Indy has his own reasons to give the Nazis a little trouble. His search starts at Atoll-Pau-Pau, but the tropical getaway is deceptive—Polynesia is a flowering hell, and Indy's orders are a suicide mission.

IndianaJones.com summary[]

While in Washington, Indiana Jones is asked by a certain Mr. Franklin and Mr. Delano to take an expedition to Easter Island -- an expedition, Indy suspects, that won't be a pleasant research trip.

There's something odd about Franklin and Delano -- they simply grin too much. One of their agents on the trail of German conspirators has gone missing and Indiana Jones needs to find him. His search starts on the atoll Pau-Pau, but this tropical isle is deceiving -- Polynesia may be a hell decorated with flowers on this suicidal mission.
