Inigo Jones was the British architect general to Kings James and Charles I.
It was in part knowledge of the architect that helped Indiana Jones secure his first teaching position at London University in 1925. When his interviewers jokingly asked if "Indy Jones" meant he was any relation to Inigo, Jones simply replied that he doubted he was related to anyone who believed that Stonehenge was built by the Romans, though less was known about the ancients three hundred years prior. Indiana considered the comment to be what convinced department head Joanna Campbell to give him the job.
