J. W. Rinzler

Jonathan W. Rinzler (August 17, 1962 - July 28, 2021) was an American author.

Between 2001 to 2016, Rinzler was executive editor at LucasBooks, the publishing arm of Lucasfilm Ltd. During that time, he also wrote the Indy Vault section of Star Wars Insider as well as The Complete Making of Indiana Jones, a 2008 reference book published on May 20 which charted the development of the first four Indiana Jones films.

Rinzler also penned the second novel of Scholastic's Untold Adventures series, Indiana Jones and the Mystery of Mount Sinai, published on May 1, 2009.

On July 28, 2021, Rinzler passed away from pancreatic cancer at his home in Albion. He was 58.
