Jeff Nathanson is an American film writer, producer and director co-credited with George Lucas for the story of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull having drafted versions of the screenplay as Indiana Jones and the Atomic Ants.
On October 28, 2004, The Guardian reported that Nathanson had been hired to write the fourth Indiana Jones film, noting his past collaborations with director Steven Spielberg for Catch Me If You Can and The Terminal and that production would officially go ahead if Spielberg, Lucas and Harrison Ford gave him his approval.[1] One year later, on February 11, 2005, Kathleen Kennedy commented that she wasn't sure if Nathanson's draft would be the last or if he will include Sean Connery's Henry Walton Jones, Senior like many hoped.[2]
According to Kennedy, Nathanson's script was set in the late 1940s.[3]
