A Soviet driver sat at the wheel of a Jungle Cutter in 1957 during the search for Akator.
Biography[]
At some point the Soviet soldier became a member of the Special Forces and, in 1957, was stationed at the wheel of a Jungle Cutter under the orders of Colonels Irina Spalko and Antonin Dovchenko. As he led the way through the forest at the head of a military convoy, removing the trees in his path, the driver was stopped when a shot from a rocket launcher suddenly came flying out from behind and hit the front of the cutter, sending one of its saw blades ricocheting back through the trailing convoy.
Behind the scenes[]
The Jungle Cutter driver was played by an uncredited performer in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
In LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, the Jungle Cutter driver gets removed from the Jungle Cutter either by Indiana Jones or Harold Oxley (depending on the player), allowing the two professors to use the Cutter to face Irina Spalko in a vehicle of her own. In the portable versions of the game, however, the driver shoots at Jones, Marion Ravenwood and Mutt Williams in an attempt to stop them before Jones uses a bazooka to blow him up.
