
Jurassic Park is a science-fiction adventure series about the resurrection of dinosaurs through genetic engineering. Created by author Michael Crichton and launched on film by director Steven Spielberg in 1993, the franchise has grown to include multiple theatrical films in the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World series, various theme park attractions, video games and animated series.
In addition to Spielberg directing, the film series was produced by Indiana Jones alum Kathleen Kennedy. Additional crew included John Williams composing the film's iconic score and ground-breaking visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic. Frank Marshall joined as producer for the Jurassic World films.

- A Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth sits in a display case at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar with a note from "S." that reads "Jock, thanks for getting me off the island". This is an allusion to Steven Spielberg and Jock's actor Fred Sorenson's real-life rescue of the director and the Jurassic Park film crew when they were stranded on-location in Hawaii during a hurricane which brought scheduled flights to a stand-still.[1]
