King Kong was a movie released in 1933.[1]
While escaping from Mola Ram's Thuggee, Short Round thought the mine car "ride" he was taking with Indiana Jones and Willie Scott was as good as the roller coaster that was derailed by the giant ape in King Kong.[2]
In 1937, Indiana Jones sympathized with the titular character after his encounter with sorcerer Ian Soames on Estray Island.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Both the 1933 King Kong and its 1976 remake are referenced in West End Games' Indiana Jones Adventures through the appearance of Skull Island and Skull Mountain in the background of an illustration by Paul Daly.[4]
