Koch Safes GmbH (German: Koch Tresore GmbH) was the manufacturer of a safe taken to Sukhothai on Nazi archaeologist Emmerich Voss' expedition to find the Wavebreaker Relic around November 1937.[1]
Voss used it to hold a reserve of gold intended as a bribe for the local Siamese General governing Sukhothai but neither the Third Reich Special Antiquities Collection agent nor the Fascist Royal Italian Army forces working under him endeavored to change the code on the safe from its pre-set configuration. The oversight allowed Indiana Jones to simply enter the digits from Koch's instructions and he made off with the contents, putting the funds towards what he thought was a more worthwhile investment.[1]
