Kurt was an enforcer for von Meert and formed part of the Nazi secretly working out of a mountain base in Utah to harness the powers of the Philosopher's Stone on an industrial scale around 1936. When von Meert and his men met with Indiana Jones at Red Cross Junction to release Marya Smirnova in exchange for the elixir and the Lost Book of the Cabal, the Nazis reneged on the deal and took Jones captive as well. Kurt was directed to bring the prisoners and drove Jones's automobile do to so.[1]
