L'Osservatore Romano is an Italian-language newspaper.

In 1938, an individual stood buried in a copy of L'Osservatore Romano at the Berlin Flughafen along with other newspaper readers. However, one among them was simply using the group to hide from the Nazi patrols looking for him.

Behind the scenes[]

L'Osservatore Romano is a real newspaper still in circulation and published in Vatican City. The back page of the prop in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade appears to be a copy of Cronaca di Roma, a separate publication.
