La Terrazza was a hotel in Florence, Italy.
History[]
In 1908,[2] the Jones family and Miss Seymour had single room accommodation provided for them in Florence by the hotel due to a misunderstanding with Henry Jones, Sr.'s Italian colleague, Reale, who hadn't anticipated that the professor would not be traveling alone on his world lecture tour.[1]
Although the family resolved to make the best of it, as soon as Reale's insistent wife learned of the situation, she arranged for the Joneses and Miss Seymour to stay with the Reales at their estate.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
La Terrazza was created as part of bridging material to connect "Vienna, November 1908" and "Florence, May 1908" together in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones. The establishing shot of the hotel had also been used for the Athens hotel Noufara in Young Indiana Jones: Travels with Father.[3]
