Indiana Jones Wiki

During pre-production of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, the crew developed a timeline extending from 1908 to 1922 with major events and people of the time period[1] and George Lucas intended to produce episodes set as early as 1905 (with a 5-year-old Indiana Jones) up through 1925 (with a 24-year-old Indy).[2][3] However, the series was cancelled in 1993 (with Indy at age 21) and as a result there were a number of episodes that were not produced.

Proposed episodes[]

The table below lists many of the unproduced episodes and concepts developed by the production team. The numbered episodes were detailed in a third season synopsis, dated February 8, 1993,[4] and the unnumbered episodes have been confirmed by other sources.

The season three episode numbering may not be immediately apparent as a continuation of the US broadcast order, due to differences between how episodes were numbered during production and how they were released for broadcast:

Unproduced segments[]

  • Bookend sequences with George Hall as "Old Indy" were scripted for the penultimate episode to air on ABC, "Istanbul, September 1918," but they went unproduced. In the scenes, the elderly Indy attends the wedding of his grandson Charlie. When the groom gets cold feet, Indy tells a story of his romance with Molly Walder.
  • Likewise, bookends were scripted for the final episode to air on ABC, "Paris, May 1919", but they too were dropped. In the scenes, "Old Indy" interrupts his granddaughter's current affairs class to demand to know why her teacher had given her essay poor marks. When the teacher states that the paper was mostly irrelevant discussion of the 1919 Paris Peace Conference, Indy launches into the story of his experiences there.
  • "Old Indy" bookends were also scripted for "Prague, August 1917" and "Palestine, October 1917" but the episodes aired internationally without them.
