The llama is a four-legged pack animal native to South America.
Adventures with Llamas[]
In 1937, Indiana Jones used the warmth of a baby llama to survive the night on a snowcapped mountain in Peru while searching for the Chimu Taya Arms of Cuzco.[1]
In 1939, while trying to find eyes for the God Head in Suya Desh, Indy had to enter a room called the golden llama room blocked by a golden llama statue. There were many of these statues present in the ancient city[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Statues of llamas appears in Suya Desh in the Nintendo DS version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.[2] This fact would be incorrect as llamas are not native to Nepal.[3] Interestingly, llamas are ridable animals in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures in the level Into the mountains which is based on The Raven's events, also set in Nepal. Two are found outside The Raven in a pen that can only be destroyed with explosives. One more can be found near a bridge at the end of the level and is used to step on a pressure plate to activate a lift. [4]
