History[]
At some point, the people of an ancient jungle kingdom fell into obscurity and the only record of their place in history survived within an enciphered relic lost among the ruins of their civilization. However, stories of its existence had managed to escape out into the wider world.[1][2]
Although the difficult environment had claimed all previous would-be fortune hunters, Indiana Jones sought out the artifact during his archaeology career around the same time Ivar Reiss had also taken up the challenge and the two competed.[1][2]
Behind the scenes[]
As the gameplay in Indiana Jones in the Lost Kingdom allows for either Indiana Jones or Ivar Reiss, depending on the player, to claim the artifact upon successful completion of the story, it's unclear who, if anyone, recovered the piece at all.[1]
