Lukla is a small town in north-eastern Nepal. Situated at 2,860 metres (9,383 ft) above sea level, it is a popular place for visitors to the Himalayas near Mount Everest to arrive. Lukla contains a small airport.
History[]
In 1939, Indiana Jones found a Shepherd in the Paris catacombs. The Shepherd was a coffin which held a note from Professor Charles Kingston telling Indy to start his journey for the Staff of Kings in the Nepalese town Lukla. Indy catches a Douglas DC-3 flight from Paris to Lukla to reach the ancient Nepalese city of Suya Desh after battling Nazi troops on board the Orient Express[1]
