Maa is an indigenous language of Africa and is spoken by the Maasai in Kenya.
While in British East Africa in 1909, Indiana Jones befriended Meto, a Maasai goatherd, and learned a little of the Maa language from him. He was then able to communicate a little with the inhabitants of the Maasai village and the Liabon, who also used pictographs to communicate where to find the Fringe-Eared Oryx.
