Malcolm was a professor and archaeological colleague of Indiana Jones.
Biography[]
In April 1941, Malcolm and Indiana Jones formed part of an expedition in Greece excavating a Bronze Age Achaean royal tomb and palace with the potential of belonging to King Atreus himself. However, the advance of the Nazi army into the Peloponnesian Peninsula forced the group to abandon the site and join the British military retreat.[1]
Jones saw Malcolm and the team, comprised mostly of students, were safely aboard the landing craft then broke off from the group to return to the exposed dig to ensure the Nazis couldn't capture any treasure. Jones assured Malcolm that he'd try to rendezvous with him in Alexandria but he got pulled into a pursuit for the Golden Fleece.[1]
