Biography[]
The daughter of the local Party Secretary for the Italian Fascists, Maria Rossi got engaged to Private Pietro Bianchi, a Blackshirt, by late 1937. They were planning to marry upon approval of Bianchi's three-day leave request beginning on October 25 but, two days prior, the Blackshirt was killed in Rome while investigating unusual activity in the Cloaca Maxima.[1]
