Lady Marie was a French noble during the Crusades.
Biography[]
Life and death[]
In early half of the 13th century, Lady Marie was at Castle Malum in the Holy Land when she met Gibborim, a giant warrior from the Nephilim Order whose legend was better known as the "Nameless Crusader". The two fell in love and were happy for a time but with the area caught up in the violence of the Crusades, Malum was put to the torch while Gibborim was away and Marie was one of the blaze's victims. The crusader rushed back when learned of the fire only to be devastated by the loss.[1]
Legacy[]
After the heartbroken Gibborim was killed at the Battle of La Forbie in 1244, the Nephilim was interred within an elaborate underground tomb back in Rome, Italy which detailed the Nameless Crusader's final days in the Middle East. His love for Marie was a crucial element, depicting the French lady in mural form and it was through the heart of a central Gibborim memorial statue that visitors needed to thrust the Nameless Crusader's sword to collect a cylinder roll hidden inside.[1]
Despite the harsh subterranean environment, a lone resilient tree managed to grow near the tomb and it was there on October 23, 1937 that archaeologist Indiana Jones found a curiously placed golden malum as he passed by.[1]
