Marion Ravenwood was the daughter of Abner Ravenwood and a love interest of Indiana Jones. The details of their original relationship are fuzzy, but it's known that they had a falling out that not only ruined their relationship, but also Indy's relationship with her father.

Marion remained by Nepal for many years, where she ran a bar called The Raven until she again encountered Indiana Jones in 1936. She was not particularly pleased to see him again, but she agreed to give him the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra for several thousand dollars.

However, Toht showed up and attempted to steal the medallion. In the process, The Raven burned down and Marion made herself Indy's partner. Together, they travelled to Tanis, Egypt where she was captured by the Nazis. Indy believed she was dead until he found her bound and gagged in a tent. Much to her chagrin, he decided to leave her there since, if they knew she was free, they would start searching for them.

Rene Belloq attempted to get information out of her before the Nazis would use less pleasant methods, but Marion continuously insisted that she didn't know anything. She attempted to escape by trying to drink him under the table, but didn't realize they were drinking his family label, which he had grown up with.

Toht eventually arrived to question her and, after the Ark was taken by the Nazis, he threw here into the Well of Souls to die with Indy. However, they managed to escape and Indy took back the Ark while the Nazis were driving it to Cairo. Indy and Marion left with the Ark on a sea liner, but, with a U-boat, the Nazis again captured her and the Ark. Indy, however, managed to stowaway on the U-boat.

The Nazis took the Ark to a small island and there Indy was captured. Fortunately for him and Marion, the Nazis, upon opening the Ark, were destroyed by the Wrath of God, setting the two of them free and leaving them with the Ark.

After two government agents refused to tell Indy what they were going to do with the Ark, Marion offered to buy him a drink and the two left the capital building together.

What became of Marion after this is unknown, but it appears her and Indy's new relationship did not last.
