The Metropolitan Foundation for Educational Quality was an American organization in the 1990s. The foundation hosted an Annual Celebrity Tennis Shoe Auction and Dinner. One year, the event was held at the City Hotel & Conference Center in New York City. Seated at one of the tables were Indiana Jones, Norma, Tom, Selina and Frank.[1]

The foundation's name and event appear on a sign at the entrance of the dinner event, in the opening bookend for "British East Africa, September 1909".[1] Dark Horse's comic book adaptation changes the foundation and dinner event with a benefit luncheon for the New York Chapter of the Multi-Racial Educational Trust Fund.[2]
