A Mexican Banker lived in Columbus, New Mexico in 1916.

Biography[]

On March 9, 1916,[2] the Mexican Banker was captured by the Villistas men after the raid at Columbus.[1] An overweight man in a disheveled suit, he sit weeping quietly.[3] He, alongside Indiana Jones and a Federal Colonel, were lined up to be shot by a firing squad led by Julio Cárdenas.[1] He begged to be spares, stating that he had a wife and children.[4] He and the other two were spared when Pancho Villa arrived and stopped the execution.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Mexican Banker was portrayed by the late Carlos Douglas in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles episode "Young Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Jackal", later edited into Spring Break Adventure.[1]

It is possible that the Banker worked at the Columbus State Bank, which is raided in the episode.[1]
