Michelangelo Buonarroti, commonly known as Michelangelo, was an Italian artist. Indiana Jones referenced the artist along with Botticelli while mentioning the Italians' love of beauty to a woman called Mimi in 1993.[1]
His most iconic works include the sculptures of David and Pietà, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, and the design of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
