The father of Mola Ram was a Thuggee priest who survived Great Britain's attempts to eradicate the Thuggee cult from India between 1820 and 1850. After surviving the almost full eradication of the cult that outlawed Kali's worship, destroyed its temples and had his fellow priests executed, this man fathered Mola Ram,[1] who grew up to becoming High Priest of the Thuggee by 1935.[3]
