The Moonstone sits atop the Sunstone.
A Moonstone was a stone disc of Atlantean technology featuring four lunar symbols: waxing moon, full moon, waning moon, and new moon. It was used as part of combination mechanism for accessing the Greater Colony and the entrance of Atlantis.[1]
Professor Charles Sternhart acquired a Moonstone before finding and seizing a Worldstone in Tikal. However, his Moonstone was accidentally crushed and destroyed by a primitive lift in the ruins of Knossos.[1]

The Moonstone appears in the video game Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and the place it is found differs between the plot branches.
- In the "Team" and "Fists" path, a moonstone is found within the ruins of Knossoss.[1]
- In the "Wits" path, the Nazis under Klaus Kerner find a moonstone somewhere and keep it in the U-boat; Indy steals it while aboard.[1]
