Mujar was a sherpa guide who accompanied Abner Ravenwood into the Himalayas as part of an small expedition following up clues to the location of the Ark of the Covenant.
In 1936, Ravenwood discovered a cave with the remains of four Macedonian soldiers from the time of Alexander the Great. Mujar had to rescue Ravenwood who slipped and fell during his exploration of the cave. Four days later, Mujar found him yelling at the mountains for failing to surrender the Ark and had to calm the man down, though Ravenwood wouldn't remember the incident.
Afterwards, almost out of supplies, Ravenwood noted in his final journal entry that he had sent Mujar back to Patan, Nepal for food as he was still unwell from the fall and unable make the journey back.[1]
