The New York City Police Department is a law enforcement agency that serves to uphold the law in New York City.
History[]
At the 1969 ticker tape parade for Apollo 11 in Manhattan, the NYPD was assigned to police and patrol the celebration. During the event, Indiana Jones reported the murder of his colleagues at Hunter College to one of the department's mounted police officers. Klaber, one of the killers in pursuit of Jones, stole a police motorcycle after sucker-punching an officer. In response, the aging archaeologist commandeered the confronted cop's horse in order to escape.
