Nimrod was the great-grandson of Noah credited with the foundation of Nineveh.[1]
Untold millennia later, Third Reich Special Antiquities Collection archaeologist Emmerich Voss uncovered a Sumerian stele during an excavation of Ur which indicated that the one who had established Nineveh had arrived with a "sacred gift" and the Nazi wondered if it was still there.[2]
