Noah's Ark was, according to Abrahamic religions, a large vessel built at God's command to save Noah, his family, and a core stock of the world's animals from the Great Flood. The story is told in chapters 6-9 of the book of Genesis, with later variations in the Qur'an and a number of other sources.
In 1927, Indiana Jones joined a party of explorers who were seeking the Ark on Mount Ararat, the location where ii supposedly settled after The Great Flood.
They eventually find it half-buried in a glacier. It is described as "a massive black box, shaped like a coffin and virtually the size of an ocean liner". After Indiana's party climbs inside of it for shelter, a series of gunshots fired outside cause an avalanche which send the Ark sliding down the mountainside.
When it comes to a rest, the Ark is buried under an ocean of snow, once more hidden from the world.
