The Cult of Mithras, to whom the Nymphus rank belonged.
Nymphus, translated as "Bridegroom", was the second degree of initiation in the revived Cult of Mithras from the early 20th century. By October 23, 1937, the position was held by a number of individuals whose names archaeologist Indiana Jones found kept on a list of the Mithraic ranks.[1]
A Mithraic Artifact known as the Nymphus Artifact was named after the position.[1]
