Margaret Grace O'Malley, the family's most prominent member, in 1939.

The O'Malley family was an Irish family of which Margaret Grace O'Malley was part. Family members included:

Living in poverty by 1905, the O'Malleys got fragmented after Maggie's parents were killed on a fire in 1911. This led Maggie to start working in 1920 for an American ambassador and his family, who took her in their many travels and fostered her interest in photography, with the ambassador and his wife encouraging her interests to the point she secured an internship in New York City, New York before becoming a British Intelligence spy.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The O'Malley family was set to be fleshed out in Rob MacGregor's unpublished novelization of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings as a means to expand on Margaret Grace O'Malley's background.[1] The game itself has no references at all to Maggie's family,[2] and given how Indycron keeper Leland Chee stated during an interview with TheRaider.net in 2010 that a copy of MacGregor's completed manuscript never reached him,[3] it's unclear how much, if any, information about the O'Malley family is part of the Indiana Jones canon.
