Omar was a professor of history at Cairo University and a friend of Dame Nawal Shafiq-Barclay.
Biography[]
From the Cairo University, Omar met Indiana Jones, a fellow professor, at the Cairo Museum but didn't recognize the archaeologist out of his suit when he was approached by Jones out in the field in October 1937. Situated near a Nazi dig site in Gizeh, Egypt, Omar explained that the German excavation was chasing a secret chamber hidden in the tomb of Khentkawes I. Jones infiltrated the site and returned with a stele which held clues to the mystery of the Great Circle which ran through Giza.[1]
Omar asked Jones to take it to Dame Nawal Shafiq-Barclay, a mutual contact, to secure the artifact away from the Nazis.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Omar was performed by Sammy Sheik in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.[1]
