Omar was a young Moroccan slave of Emily Keene.
Biography[]
Omar met Indiana Jones in 1908 and was ordered to be a good companion to him during his stay in the country.
He became friends with Jones who treated Omar as an equal, especially after he learned the full nature of what it meant to be a slave.
It contains information cut from the final release of an Indiana Jones medium, or otherwise unpublished. Everything said in this section and not elsewhere did not happen in the "proper" Indiana Jones continuity.
After the Joneses' lecture tour, Omar was given his freedom by Emily Keene following the 1911 abolition of slavery in Morocco. He kept in touch with Indiana Jones and eventually became a sea captain. Master of his own destiny, Omar chose to travel the world.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Omar was played by Ashley Walters.
The script for the unrealized The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles season 3 episode "Tangiers, July 1909" indicates that Omar is 12 years old. When the episode was eventually produced for The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones re-edit, the events of Tangiers were placed in 1908 as the second part of My First Adventure.
