The operator in the Barcelona hotel was a blond-haired woman who staffed the switchboard at a hotel in Barcelona.
One night in 1931, she was on duty, when a phone call from the front desk asked to be connected to a guest named Belloq with a Q. She tried ringing Belloq's room for the caller, but was unable to connect them. Inadvertantly, she had given out Belloq's room number to the caller, who then tricked a housekeeper to let him into the room.
