Biography[]
Early life[]
Pailin Chaladphukhealom was born in Siam around 1908.[2] Eventually, Pailin married a man named Somsak, but a failed attack that she spearheaded in Bangkok cost the life her husband and the use of her right eye. Her rebel cell fled north to a small settlement near Sukhothai.[2]
Fighting against the Fascists[]
Around November 1937, a local general with Fascist sympathies allowed Italian troops to enter Thailand in an archaeological expedition led by Third Reich Special Antiquities Collection agent Emmerich Voss in Sukothai. Paillin met American archaeologist Indiana Jones and Gina Lombardi and helped them undermine the Nazi's designs on the Sukhothai Stone.[1]
