Margaret "Peggy" Peabody was a singer who quickly gained a foothold on Broadway in her stage debut when a backstage mishap during George White's Scandals of 1920 positioned her as the finale of the show's first act.

Margaret "Peggy" Peabody was an aspiring singer who Indiana Jones met on a train on the way to New York City in 1920. Indy courted her once they both arrived to live and work in the city. However, Jones was also seeing Kate Rivers and Gloria Schuyler at the same time which led to all three women rejecting him on his 21st birthday when his juggling was discovered.[1]

The teleplay for the episode reveals additional background details for the character that were cut by the final episode including her age, that she's from Clovis, Nebraska and the daughter of a man who runs a hardware store and a mother who passed away in 1917. She also mentions four brothers: Bob, Lester, Timmy and Ed.[2]
