Perseus was a hero from Greek mythology.
Biography[]
According to legend, Perseus fought and killed the snake-haired Gorgon Medusa and gave her severed head to Athena, who put it on the Aegis.
He was also credited with having stolen the Eye of the Fates.[1]

The son of Zeus and the mortal princess Danae, he was the great-grandfather of Hercules and founder of Mycenae. According to legend, he fought and killed the snake-haired monster Medusa and gave her severed head to Athena, who put it on her shield.
